Salat

Salat is a group of thirty-three luminous spheres conceived from squares of shroud fabric and whose four corners were knotted in order to form a kind of bundle. Inside of each bundle is a small light bulb. The bundles are arranged in three rows lined up side-by-side against one another to form a rectangle. Salat means “prayer.” This artwork was created in situ for a vaulted room with an intimate atmosphere.
